Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form notches necessary to connect a hinge at the edge of a watch band for attaching a watch by using a die plate whose dent has at least one slit for a protrusion of a pliers-shaped punching tool. CONSTITUTION: The top of the edge 12 of a watch band 10 is folded and inserted to a dent 2 of this die plate 1. And using a punching tool 13, two notches 14 opening toward front are formed at the edge 12 folded like a tube 11 of the watch band 10 by a slit 5 of the dent 2, and a notch 15 opening toward front and sideways is formed in the side edge of the watch band 10 by a slit 6 of the dent 2. At the time the protrusion 16 of the punching tool 13 is inserted to the slit 5 and the slit 6 in order, and the handles of the tool 13 are closed. So the weight jaw 17 of the tool is adjusted from above to the edge 12 folded like a tube 11 of the watch band 10. In this way, the edge 12 of the watch band 10 with notches 14 and 15 will be finished.
