To enable a user to easily and surely open and close right and left temple with single operation by freely vertically movably installing a long elastic material on the upper side of the right and left lens frames of a spectacle frame in such a manner that the right and left temples are opened when this elastic material is lowered and that the temples are closed when the elastic material is raised.
Both ends of a leaf spring 6a having an arch shape on its front and rear surfaces as the elastic material 6 are respectively connected via push rods 9 with a suitable number of length adjusting holes to hinges 7 mounted respectively at the inner side base ends of the right and left lenses 4, 5. A tension coil spring 10 which is connected at one end to the left temple 4 or the right temple 5 and connected at the other end to the elastic material 6 is mounted at one end of the one push rod 9. A freely expandable and contractable protective cover 11 is put on the elastic material 6. The elastic material 6 is raised by the elastic repulsion force when the spectacles are removed. The right and left temples 4, 5 are respectively pulled back forward at both ends thereof and simultaneously the right temple 5 on the side mounted with the tension coil spring 10 is pulled back forward earlier than the left temple 4.
