PURPOSE: To smoothly raise and lower an elevator body by cutting the step difference of a connection part of guide rails by installing a grinding part at the edge part of the sliding surface of a guiding tool.

CONSTITUTION: A temporary guiding tool 3 for elevator is temporarily installed onto an elevator body 2 under installation construction, and accompanied with the rise and lowering of the elevator body 2 in the initial period of the ordinary operation after the installation adjustment operation or the completion of installation, the step difference 1b in the connection part of guide rails 1 is cut by a grinding part 3d installed at the edge part of the sliding surface of the guide tool 3. Therefore, the elevation body 2 can be raised and lowered smoothly.
