To provide a temporary enclosure device and a renewal method which can perform efficient renewal construction of a commercial space while minimizing an effect on the business of commercial facilities.

A temporary enclosure device 108 of this invention comprises a vertical support member 111 having an extensible jack mechanism for providing a support structure for holding a panel 110, a horizontal support member 112 installed in a direction orthogonal to the vertical support member 111 and extensible in a horizontal direction, a pipe clamp metal fitting 116 in which one of each support member is pushed so as to be held from a thickness direction of the vertical support member 111 or the horizontal support member 112, and a clamp jack metal fitting 115 which fixes the panel 110 for separating a space in which renewal construction is performed from other spaces and forms temporary enclosure by drawing the panel 110 to the support structure, so as to enable efficient renewal construction.
