To provide a temporary fixture for a ceiling board which can be attached easily and efficiently by one man, and has a simple constitution with excellent ease of use.

The temporary fixture is constructed of a pair of engagement holes 14, a base board part 10 opening the engagement holes 14, an auxiliary supporting plate part 11, an introductory inclined plate part 12, and a hook 13. The engagement holes 14 are slender and rectangular, and the auxiliary supporting plate part is constituted so that it droops by bending its one end part at the right angle. Then the introductory inclined plate part is extended by bending the other end by about 20 degrees toward the lower slanting position. The hook is drooped by welding an axis-shaped base part at the center of the base board part 10. Then the base board part 10 is brought into contact with a wall surface W, and the auxiliary supporting plate part 11 is put face up and is temporarily fixed. While one end of the head lining board P is supported by the auxiliary supporting plate part 11, the head lining board P is fixed by a screw B. Then the base board part 10 is brought into contact with the other end side of the head lining board P, and is temporarily fixed. Then a new end part of the head lining board P, which is to be followed from the introductory inclined plate part, is inserted and supported, and the work for fixing the head lining board by the screw B is performed.
