PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition exhibiting high water-resistance after drying on hair and easily removable by washing with a detergent containing a surfactant, by using a polymer containing acidic monomer having acid group as a fixing agent and a pigment as a colorant.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) 0.5W15wt.% polymer having a number-average molecular weight of 5,000W300,000 and containing ≥5%, preferably 10W60% monomer having acid group as a constituent component of the polymer, (B) 0.1W5%, preferably 0.5W3% pigment and (C) 80W99.4% water and/or a hydrophilic solvent (having a water-solubility of ≥10g/100g water/25°C). The polymer of the component A is preferably a polymer produced by copolymerizing 5W10% unsaturated carboxylic acid, 40W95% compound of formula (R1 is CH3; R2 is 1W22C hydrocarbon group) and 0W30% polymerizable monomer other than the above monomers.
