To provide a device for temporarily storing sheet-like photographic materials which has a sufficiently large storage capacity and is short in the stagnation time of the photographic material sheets within the device.
The device 1 for temporarily storing the sheet-like photographic materials 4 to 8 has an inlet 2 for accepting the materials 4 to 8, an outlet 3 for discharging the materials and plural rotatably born rollers 9 to 16. These rollers are disposed in order to transparent the sheet-like sheets 4 to 8 from the inlet 2 to the outlet 3 and are drivable by at least one drive means 17 to 22. Further, the device is provided with monitor means 23, 24A, 24B for monitoring the positions of the sheets 4 to 8 of the temporarily stored photographic materials. A control means 23 controls the revolving speeds of the drivable rollers 9 to 16, by which the adjustment of the revolving speeds of the at least one rollers 9 to 16 during the operation regardless of the other rollers 9 to 16 and dependently upon the monitored positions is made possible.
