Title:
TEMPURA OIL FLAME FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT TO SERVE AS EDIBLE OIL TREATING AGENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0647107
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a fire extinguishing agent which has a fire-extinguishing function when a Tempura (a Japanese fried cooking) oil fire is caused and can be used as a cold solidifying agent for waste edible oil at ordinary times.

CONSTITUTION: This fire extinguishing agent is mainly composed of mixture formed by mixing 10-100 volume% of inorganic and/or organic powder or granulated powder having specific gravity of not more than 0.1 and an oil absorptive property of not less than 50wt.% of dead weight. Thereby, when a Tempura oil fire is caused, and in the case where a fire extinguisher does not exist, it is better as a handy fire extinguishing agent than mayonnaise sauce as a conventional product. Since waste edible oil can be hardened without heating it, the possibility of causing the fire is precluded, and the treated oil can also be reused as a soil conditioner and so on.
