To design a lightweight racket and to improve its repulsive efficiency by determining a specific value of a number of gut holes providing at a gut spreading section surrounding a face surface as a hitting surface.
A frame of a tennis racket 1 is a hollow frame made of a fiber reinforcing resins, a gut spreading section 3 surrounding a hitting surface (a face surface), a sloat section 4, a shaft section 5, and a grip section 6 are continuously constituted. In the gut spreading section 3, the hitting surface 2 is annularly surrounded with a yoke section 7 that is continued at a sloat side and is formed of a different member. Weight of the tennis racket is more than 180 g and less than 260 g, a gut groove is provided recessing at an external side section of the gut spreading section 3, and gut holes are provided drilled at a fixed interval along a longitudinal direction. The gut holes are comprised of inner side holes contacting the hitting surface 2 and outer side holes of a bottom surface of the gut groove, and the inner side holes and the outer side holes are communicated through hollow sections. A number of the gut holes is more than 39 and less than 61.
