To stabilize the tensile-force of a looper in its synchronous operation.

A looper tensile-force controller of a continuous processing equipment is provided with an inlet side looper 5 between an inlet side processing section and a central processing section, and provided with an outlet side looper 11 between an outlet side processing section and the central processing section. The looper tensile-force controller is composed of the following components: speed reference circuits 37, 39 each of the inlet side processing section and the central processing section for setting the speed references of these sections; a torque reference circuit 38 of an inlet side looper motor for setting the torque reference of a driving motor for the inlet side looper 15; a tensile-force controlling circuit 29 of the inlet side looper for producing an output based on a tensile-force deviation; and a switching unit 30 whereby during the synchronous operation of the inlet side processing section and the central processing section, the output from the tensile-force controlling circuit 29 of the inlet side looper is switched to an adder 31 side so that the speed reference of the inlet side processing section is corrected with this output from the circuit 29 as the inlet side looper 5 is controlled under a fixed torque value and during the out-of-synchronous operation of these sections, the output from the circuit 29 is switched to an adder 32 side so that the torque reference of the inlet side looper 5 is corrected with this output from the circuit 29. Thus, a tensile-force fluctuation cycle can be avoided without moving the looper.
