PURPOSE: To make an accurate measurement possible with a relatively simple constitution by performing the tensile test while keeping the balance between a force, with which an object to be examined is pulled by the rotation of a driving machine in a constant speed, and a force which is applied to the first fixing tool by the attraction of a solenoid.
CONSTITUTION: A tensile test device is constituted of a detecting part, which has the driving machine, the fixing jig of the object to be examined, the solenoid, etc. as principal parts, and a control part consisting of a microcomputer, a D-A converter, a voltage-current converter, etc. When a motor 1 is rotated forward, an object 20 to be examined is pulled while being moved in the direction of an arrow A, and the object 20 is controlled by steps S2, S3, and S4 so that the balance is always kept between an attraction (g) of a plunger 11a of a solenoid 11 and the tensile force applied to the object 20 to be examined; and when the object 20 to be examined is cut, a switch 14 is turned off to stop the motor 1, and a timer is stopped, and expansion of the object 20 to be examined is calculated in accordance with the timer value at this time.
