Title:
TENSION AND ANTI-RECOIL MECHANISM FOR CABLE TIE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005255252
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a mechanism for limiting recoil of a tool when a cable tie is cut in order to limit tension applied to the cable tie by the tool.

The mechanism is connected with a tool handle of a cable tie tool. The tool handle has an outer tube and a grip hanging down from it. The mechanism has a regulator grip supported in the outer tube, and a one-piece cutter actuator is supported in the regulator grip for the longitudinal movement relative to the outer tube. A tension limiting mechanism has holding power directed to the cutter actuator against its longitudinal movement relative to the outer tube, and the holding power can be controlled to limit tension occurring in the cable tie before a strap is cut. The recoil of the cable tie tool which may possibly result from the cutting is remarkably limited by the tension and anti-recoil mechanism.
