Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension control device and a tension control method in which an individual difference in the device and an individual difference among users are eliminated and in which a paper feeding tension can precisely be controlled.SOLUTION: The tension control device comprises: a brake mechanism 20 which can brake the rotations of paper rolls R1 to R3 and is constituted so as to change the braking force according to a change in a size of a fluid pressure supplied; a floating roller 11 which guides continuous paper W drawn out from the paper rolls; an arm 12 which supports rotatably the floating roller in a tip part and is provided so as to oscillate around an oscillation shaft 13 provided in a base end part; position detection means 14 which is provided in the oscillation shaft of the arm and is constituted so as to output a signal corresponding to a rotation angle of the oscillation shaft; and a brake control mechanism 40 which can determine the rotation angle of the oscillation shaft on the basis of the signal output by the position detection means and is constituted so as to adjust a fluid pressure supplied to the brake mechanism on the basis of the determined rotation angle of the oscillation shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
