Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension device for an endless traveling belt, by which inconvenience such as the jog phenomenon to be generated in switching the traveling direction of a conveyor capable of being reversed is eliminated, and the suitable tension applying state can be always obtained.
SOLUTION: Tension applying means 6, 7 composed of tension rings 8, 9 supported by air cylinders 9, 10 so as to be raised and lowered, and for applying specified tension to an endless traveling belt 1 are arranged on both sides of a drive wheel 2 arranged on the return side of the endless traveling belt 1 stretched between driven wheels 3, 4. According to the traveling direction of the endless traveling belt 1, the tension applying means 6 on the slack side is switched in the operating state, and the tension applying means 7 on the pulling side is switched to the releasing state.
