Title:
TENSION DEVICE FOR WIRE ROPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3671072
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-holdable tension device suitable for a lashing operation which uses a wire rope as a fastening material and pinches both ends of the wire rope winding the baggage and then automatically pulls the wire.
SOLUTION: A first chuck 2 and a second chuck 3 are disposed at both ends of a C-shaped frame 1. The first chuck 2 is supported by a guide 5 and a slider 4 on the frame 1 such that it can freely move to the right and left sides. The second chuck 3 is fixed on the frame 1 and has a stopper therein. An operating device 6 comprising a hydraulic cylinder is provided between the slider 4 and the frame 1. The chucks 2, 3 grip and fix the ends of a wire rope W winding the baggage. The operating device 6 is activated in this state to move the first chuck 2, thereby pulling the wire rope W. Clamp cylinders 42 previously attached to the both ends of the wire rope W are crushed to fix the rope.
