Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain sure communication with a host computer by converting information relating to a care worker and/or a nursing organization to which the care worker belongs and a telephone number of a person to be cared stored in a storage device into a signal of a dial signal form and transmitting the converted signal to the host computer via a telephone line.
SOLUTION: A care worker inserts its identification card D to a bar code reader R, which reads an identification code and stores the read identification code to a RAM temporarily. The bar code reader reads a telephone number of a host computer set in a bar code of the card D, replaces its contents with data of a 2nd data field that is a code of a dial signal corresponding to a telephone number of a person to be cared and stores the resulting data to the RAM temporarily. A terminal A uses a dial decoder 28 to convert a received dial signal consisting of '0s' and '#' into a corresponding binary signal. Furthermore, a dial signal generator 24 generates the dial signal consisting of '0s' and '#' and transmits the signal to the host computer.
