To inexpensively manufacture a terminal box for a solar cell module by reducing the amount of filling insulating resin such as silicone resin.

The box includes a box main body 2 having a bottom wall 21 having a wiring opening 21a made therein and a peripheral wall 22 erected in the vicinity of a peripheral edge of the opening 21a of the bottom wall part 21, a pair of terminal plates 3 connectable with respective electrode copper foils of a solar cell module, and external connection cables 4 connected at their one ends with the respective terminal plates 3. The pair of terminal plates 3 are buried in a resin mold part 5 together with the external connection cables 4 but with their tip ends exposed. And the resin mold part 5 is integrally provided to the main body 2 so that the tip ends of the terminal plates 3 face the wiring opening 21a made in the bottom wall 21 of the main body 2.
