Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continue a data processing operation even in a fault mode by discriminating a faulty input/output device and then substituting another prescribed device for the faulty one.
CONSTITUTION: A data processing part 12 always monitors fault for input/output devices FPD1, FPD2, LP, TR, DIP1, DIP2 and CMT, respectively. If a certain deivce occurs a fault, a fault control program recognizes the name of the faulty device and refers to a device control table 13. A substitute device is set for the recognized device name and used in place of the faulty device as long as the substitute device has no fault. The breakdown occurs for the faulty device if no substitute device is set.
