PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid type terminal end fully packed therein of good appearance by cutting off the back side of a base material between the folded back parts of a decorative film, heating, and folding back to the back of the base material.
SOLUTION: In a cutting off process, on the extreme end 12 side of the terminal end 11 in the lengthwise direction of a molding material 10, the back side of a base material 30 is cut off between the folded back parts 21, 21 of a decorative film 20. At the time, the base material 30 is cut off so that the thin wall layer of the base material 30 formed on the back side of the decorative film 20 is left, without cutting off the whole base material 30 between the folded back parts 21, 21 of the decorative film 20. Next, a heating process is executed. In this heating process, the terminal end 11 of the molding material 10 arranged in a surface shaping die 40 is heated by a heating means such as a heater or a high frequency heating device. Next, an end bending process is executed. In this end bending process, a back pressing die 50 positioned over the cavity 41 of the surface shaping die 40 is brought down, and the back of the terminal end back 13 of the heated and softened molding material 10 is pressed.
