The system is made up of a computer network (NET 1), terminal equipments of the computer network are interconnected via a server S1, and data including at least voice data are transferred in the computer network. A terminal equipment receives caller information sent from a server S1 and makes the operation in response to the caller information to be received. Whether or not a caller terminal equipment T1 is a specified caller is discriminated and the call is accepted or rejected depending on the discrimination. When the call is accepted, the caller side information is obtained and a mischievous call or a wrong call is prevented. Furthermore, the caller information is stored to recognize from which a call comes during absence. Moreover, when a call is received, whether call is an internet call or a usual call from a public telephone line TEL1 is discriminated and the processing depending on the kind of call is conducted.
