Abstract:
To provide a data copyright management system in a multimedia system.
Data supplied from a database 1 are encrypted and distributed to users 4 to 9. A user uses an encryption key acquired from a key control center 9 or a copyright management center 10 to decode the encrypted data and utilize the resulting data. When the users 4 to 9 store, copy or transfer the data, the data are re-encrypted, and the key is supplied from the key control center 9 or the copyright management center 10 or generated by a copyright management program.
