PURPOSE: To provide an automatic certificate issuing machine capable of accurately printing out various information and a printing date.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of receiving a certificate issuing request from a touch panel 10, a CPU 50 checks whether a real time clock 60 normally operates or not, and when there is no abnormality, continues issue processing. When abnormality exists, the CPU 50 outputs a request from a MODEM to a server computer 80 to transmit current time through a communication line 90 and corrects the clock 60 based upon current time data transmitted from the computer 80.
