PURPOSE: To curtail the number of pieces of a dump suction medium at the time of collecting terminal fault information, and to shorten the dump suction time.

CONSTITUTION: In a fault all dump file 2, all area data of a memory area containing an OS and an AP are dumped at the time when a fault is generated by a terminal 1. In a fault information collection dictionary file 3, a dump address of a necessary part is stored at every kind of fault from a fault investigation in the past. A fault dump suction function part 4 is loaded automatically after the OS is restarted, specifies the kind of a fault from a fault code message stored in the fault all dump file 2 when the fault is generated, determines a dump area required for a fault investigation by referring to the fault information collection dictionary file 3, reads out the data of this dump area from the fault all dump file 2 and outputs it to a fault dump suction file 5 prepared in advance.
