To solve the problem that: the strength is lowered when a claw piece is formed to be thin so as to facilitate the assembly; and large force is needed for the assembly when the claw piece is formed to be thick so as to enhance the strength, in a conventional end fixing apparatus of a control cable, in which a plurality of divided claw pieces are reduced in diameter by elastic deformation to pass through a mounting hole thereby to fix the claw pieces to a mounting plate.

The connecting member is constituted of an abutting plate 10 and a projection 12 formed at least a rear face of a plurality of projecting portion 11. The mounting hole, 23 is formed in the mounting plate 20. The mounting hole is constituted of clearance grooves 21 through which the projecting portions 11 pass and which are radially disposed, and recess portions 22 formed between the clearance grooves so that the projections 12 are fit into the recess portions 22.
