Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fixing tool for a fiber rope and a terminal fixing method, which are free of damaging strength of the fiber rope, and are simple and reproducible.SOLUTION: A terminal fixing tool for a fiber rope consists of a cylindrical body, which has a thin wall part and a thick wall part, and the inside of which is smooth. Preferably, the thin wall part has grooves parallel to the axial direction of the cylindrical body. Alternatively, a terminal fixing method for a fiber rope comprises inserting a fiber rope into the inside of a cylindrical body, which has a thin wall part and a thick wall part, and the inside of which is smooth; and then twisting the cylindrical body. In addition, it is preferable that the cylindrical body with a fiber rope inserted therein is further inserted into a protective cylindrical body, as well as the fiber rope is a synthetic fiber rope.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
