Abstract:
To provide a terminal in which a noble metal plating layer with a desired thickness is formed in a desired area (central portion) without increasing material cost, and a terminal manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A terminal 10 includes a contact part 10M which has a noble metal plating layer M formed on a contact surface for a connection target 21 and which is electrically connected to the connection target via the noble metal plating layer M, the noble metal plating layer being formed in a dome-like shape having a thickness gradually increasing toward the center. Such a terminal can be formed by a manufacturing method including a coating step S5 of coating, on the surface of base metal 110, a noble metal particle dispersion Ma containing noble metal particles n, and a firing step S8 of firing the noble metal particles, the firing step being performed while the coated surface of the base metal coated with the noble metal particle dispersion faces the direction of gravity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
