This terminal-modified polyamide having 0.05-0.5 intrinsic viscosity (by using an Ubbelohode viscometer, as an ortho-chorophenol solution at 30°C) and terminal hydroxyl group, is obtained by adding 20-1000 pt.wt. at least one kind of dicarboxylic acid expressed by the formula: HOC-R1-COOH (R1 is a 2-8C alkylene group) and 10-2000 pt.wt. at least one kind of diol expressed by the formula: HO-R2-OH (R2 is a 2-8C alkylene group) to 100 pts.wt. polyamide having 0.5-7 intrinsic viscosity (1g/dL 98% sulfuric acid solution at 20°C), and dissolving uniformly and reacting them at 160-250°C.
