Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain weather information easily by providing a first input means inputting the positional data of a desired point, a second input means inputting the name of self-governing body, means for holding the positional data of self- governing body, means for extracting a representative positional data, means for extracting an observation point, means for extracting weather observation data, and a data output means.
CONSTITUTION: The longitude and latitude at a point where the weather information is studied or the name of self-governing body to which the point belongs is inputted on a keyboard 3. A candidate extracting section 901 extracts five observation points close to the point thus inputted. Alternatively, a representative positional data extracting section 7 extracts the longitude and latitude of the public office of self-governing body thus inputted from a self-governing body positional data holding section 5. An extracting section 901 extracts five observation points close to the public office thus extracted. Weather observation data 1505 at one observation point selected by a selecting section 903 is extracted at an extracting section 11 from a data base 15 by operating a keyboard 3 and displayed on a CRT 1303.
