Abstract:
To provide a terminal and a wireless communication method for appropriately controlling PEI (Paging Early Indication) monitoring.SOLUTION: In a wireless communication system, a terminal 10 includes: a receiving unit 101 that receives downlink control information including a field indicating a paging target subgroup in a paging period; and a control unit 103 that controls execution of monitoring in the paging period based on a value of the field. The receiving unit 101 receives information about the total number of subgroups, and the control unit 103 determines the number of bits of the field in the downlink control information based on the information about the total number of subgroups.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
