Abstract:

To recognize a calling party without setting different ringer tone for each caller or confirming on a display unit by a called party of a mail.

A mail attached with melody data is transmitted from a cellular phone of a calling station. The mail reception method at a cellular phone of a called station includes: when mail reception is detected (YES at S100), a step for determining whether the received mail is attached with melody data or not (S104 and S106), a step for determining whether the attached data is set as incoming tones or not (S108), a step for reading melody data attached to the received mail (S110) and outputting it as the ringer tone (S112), if the received mail is attached with melody data and the attached data is set as ringer tones (YES at S104 and YES at S108).
