Abstract:
The interconnected data terminal system has a communication line and number of peripheral units connected to central processing unit. Each data terminal comprises an internal memory for storing data and programs. The peripheral units input data and programs in the memory and extract data from the memory. A predetermined data terminal of the system comprises a large capacity store which contains a number of operating programs. these programs are capable of defining the operating system of the predetermined data terminal and each of the other data terminals of the system. The large capacity store also contains a number of user programs.
