Abstract:

To provide a test method for a thyristor starting device, which confirms a start in the normal revolution direction easily, only with an electrical method preliminarily on site, when starting a generator-motor.

This is the test method for the thyristor starting device to preliminarily confirm that the revolution direction of the generator-motor 13 can be controlled in the normal revolution direction, when the generator-motor 13 of a power facility is started by the thyristor starting device 1. The generator-motor 13 is on trial rotated in a state that the generator-motor 13 and the thyristor starting device 1 are electrically separated, and, while terminal voltage waveforms U, V and W induced on the stator coil side of the generator- motor 13 are measured, the rotor magnetic pole position of the generator-motor 13 is detected. A thyristor-starting-device output waveform 35 is generated by the thyristor starting device 1 conforming to the rotor magnetic pole position, and the confirmation that the generator-motor can be started in the normal revolution direction is made when the voltage phase of the terminal voltage waveform and that of the waveform of the thyristor starting device coincide.
