Title:
TEST PATTERN HARDLY-PERCEPTIBLE TO HUMAN OBSERVATION, AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING IMAGE DATA CORRESPONDING TO TEST PATTERN OF INKJET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012166551
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve a test pattern that is printed to distinguish the displacement of the alignment of print heads from a print head property that affects the ejection of ink from the print heads, and to provide a method for analyzing image data corresponding to the printed test pattern.

The method generates the test pattern that is hardly perceptible to human observation, but detectable by an imaging device in a printer on an image receiving member. The method achieved in the printer analyzes image data of a dash in the test pattern irregularly distributed in a process direction in a region of the image receiving member and locates the print head in the printer to detect a missing inkjet in the printer.
