To provide a test switch device which can be used commonly in different earth leakage breakers, which specify different positions for the test button of the test switch device, without changing the positions of a test switch piece and a fixed terminal thereof according to respective positions of the test buttons of different earth leakage breakers, in mounting a test switch device on a panel, etc., of an earth leakage breaker, a test button of the test switch should be provided in an operation plate of the earth leakage breaker so as to locate in its center line or to locate off the center line due to convenience of panel cutting of the earth leakage breaker.
A test switch piece 9 is formed of a conductive and resilient thin plate in a π shape whose upper side serves as a common pressure plane for a test button. A test switch device comprises: this pressure plane; two resilient legs provided in connection with this pressure plane for swingably supporting this pressure plane on a base 5; a rib bent from the pressure plane by almost 90 degrees in a press direction of the pressure plane; a fixed terminal 10 coming into contact with a tip face of the rib when the pressure plane is pressed down; and a test button 4 arranged at either of prescribed position in an operation plane of the earth leakage breaker so as to abut against the pressure plane at one of its prescribed positions.
