Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tester of DC circuit breaker and a method of testing thereof capable of testing on a DC circuit breaker without employing any large size high voltage rectifier.SOLUTION: The tester of a DC circuit breaker 1 for shutting OFF a DC current includes: (1) a constant current supply line for supplying a DC current to the DC circuit breaker 1; (2) a fault current supply line for supplying an AC current larger than the DC current which is supplied from the constant current supply line to the DC circuit breaker 1; and (3) a line connected to the DC circuit breaker 1 which is different from the constant current supply line and the fault current supply line.
