Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a defect of a printed circuit board with good accuracy by feeding a picture signal from a pickup device to two binary circuits having different threshold level, and comparing the binary signals thereby to detect where said signals are not coincident. CONSTITUTION:An image signal of a printed circuit board 5 picked up by a camera 81 is digitized by an A/D converter 82 and then inputted to a first and a second binary circuits 83, 84. The binary signals are outputted in accordance with respective threshold levels to an incoincidence detecting unit 85. When the signals from the circuits 83, 84 are different, the detecting unit 85 detects the fact in the form of an incoincidence signal which is then sent to a space filter 86. In the filter 86, the incoincidence signal is judged. In the case where the area of a certain constant incoincidence signal (output difference) exceeds a predetermined value, the output from the detecting portion is judged to be defective. Thereafter, signals from the circuit 83 and filter 86 are totalized in a defect totalizing unit 88, so that the number of defects etc. is obtained. The result is outputted to a terminal 891 such as a display unit or the like and a printer 892.
