Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily test the turning characteristics or durability of a steering device capable of turning right and left wheels in the same directions or reverse directions following the loading state on an actual vehicle.SOLUTION: A testing machine for a steering device 100 includes: load devices 6, 9 and 11 detachably installed at the right and left portions of rack bars 101 and 102 of the steering device 100 for turning right and left wheels for applying loads to the rack bars 101 and 102 in the axial direction, vertical direction and horizontal direction; and load converters 8, 10 and 12 installed at the rack bars 101 and 102 for measuring loads applied in the axial direction, vertical direction and horizontal direction of the rack bars 101 and 102.
