To provide a tetrafluoroethylene-based polymer overcoming defects such as low toughness, abrasion and creep deformation under sliding condition, low radiation resistance, distortion of the material in crosslinking treatment and the like.
The tetrafluoroethylene polymer alloy is provided by applying irradiation processing to a mixture of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer with one or more species of tetrafluoroethylene-based polymer, or a mixture of two or more species of the tetrafluoroethylene-based copolymer. The polymer alloy has a network structure in which molecules are complexed by crosslinking of the polymer and/or the copolymer and chemical reactions of molecules in the polymer and/or the copolymer. A method for producing thin films of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer alloy is also provided. The polymer alloy added with ion exchanging groups to the graft chains is resistant to deformation and expresses excellent ion exchangeability.
