Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:Tetrakis [methylene-3-( 3-methyl-5-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl )propionate]methane shown by the formula.
USE: A stabilizer for polyolefin resins. Preventing deterioration caused by heat or enzymatic action. Having improved antioxidant ability in the range of a small amount added. The amount of it added is 0.01W1wt% based on polyolefin resin.
PROCESS: Pentaerythritol is esterified with 3-(3-methyl-5-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid or its reactive derivative, to give a compound shown by the formula.
