Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect disunity of a notation relating to a character string comprising Katakana or alphabetic characters in a sentence without previously registering words intended to be corrected in a correcting dictionary.
SOLUTION: When a Katakana and alphabetic word notation determination routine is started, Katakana characters continuously present in a sentence are first extracted as one word to create a word A composed of Katakana, and the word A is converted into a string of full-width and half-width different characters to create a word B (step S400-S430). Next, when the word A is already used in a range designated as a composition object, the notation about the word A is determined to be standardized, and when the word B is already used, the notation of the word A is determined to be inconsistent with already-used notations (step S440-S445).
