Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily grasp a front-rear connection by displaying text contents selectively within ranges of columns counted rightward from a start column and columns counted leftward from an end column within as specified row range. CONSTITUTION:This system has a text storage means 1, a display area storage means 2, a text one-row maximum-character-number storage means 3, an in-screen display- column-number storage means 4, a screen on-row character storage means 5, a screen division information storage means 6, a screen image generating means 7, and a screen display means 8. Further, this system is provided with a display row range specifying means which specifies a row range to be displayed in a text, a rightward display- column-number specifying means which specifies the number of rightward columns to be displayed rightward from the start column of the text, and a leftward display- column-number specifying means which specifies the number of leftward columns to be displayed leftward from the end column of the text. Then the text contents within the ranges of the number of rightward columns from the start column and the number of leftward columns from the end column in the specified range are displayed selectively on a screen display part. Consequently, even when one row of the text can not be displayed entirely, a front-rear connection is easily grasped.
