A fine spinning machine (a textile machine) includes: a plurality of spinning units 2; a yarn piecing truck 3; yarn detection devices (a first yarn detection sensor 52 and a second yarn detection sensor 54); and a truck control section. Each spinning unit winds up a spun yarn 10 to form a package 45. The yarn piecing truck 3 includes: yarn suction devices (a suction pipe 44 and a suction mouth 46); and guide members (a first duct connection tube 51 and a second duct connection tube 53). The first yarn detection sensor 52 and the second yarn detection sensor 54 detect that the spun yarn 10 is caught in the yarn piecing truck. The truck control section at least moves the guide members according to the detection result of at least one of the first yarn detection sensor 52 and the second yarn detection sensor 54.
