To produce a textile for papermaking capable of improving surface flatness of paper by forming plain fabric texture on the papermaking face of the textile for papermaking having a multiple fabric structure of triple wefts.

This textile for papermaking having a single warp and triple weft structure comprising single warp and triply placed upper weft, middle weft and lower weft is obtained by combining two or three warps which form at least one piece of papermaking face side knuckle formed on the papermaking face side by weaving one upper weft from upper side in whole texture, forming a plain fabric texture by continuously arranging the papermaking face side knuckle of the warp as a whole texture for every combined group to every other one upper weft in the warp direction, so as to be shifted from the whole texture of an adjacent warp group by one line of the upper weft, forming at least one piece of running face side knuckles formed by weaving one lower weft with the warp from the running face side in the whole texture of the lower weft, and shifting the whole texture from whole textures of adjacent warp groups by odd number of the upper wefts. As for the papermaking face, a plain fabric texture is formed from the whole textures of every warp groups.
