PURPOSE: To produce the subject textile structure having a water repellency as excellent as in a Lotus leaf by making a specified number of convex parts having a specified diameter and covered with a specified thickness of a water- repellent layer composed of a fluorine-based compound on the uppermost surface of a textile structure.
CONSTITUTION: On 1/6 or more of the uppermost surface of a fabric preferably composed of a polyester-based fiber, convex parts covered with a water-repellent layer composed of a fluorine-based compound and having 0.02-0.3μm thickness are made in a shape of projection in an amount of 5-20/μm2 to obtain a textile structure having a water repellency as excellent as in a natural Lotus leaf and excellent in durability without damage to its touch. In addition, the average value of the maximum diameter of the concave parts observed when a photograph thereof is taken from the above is preferably <1μm for achievement of an excellent water repellency.
