To provide a thawing house designed to thaw frozen foods by microwave heating while preventing their quality deterioration due to the temperature difference between the surface and inside thereof under heating.
This thawing house has such a scheme that a cooler 13 and a fan 14 are installed in a cooling chamber 12 adjacent via a partition wall 11 to a thawing chamber 1, and objects (frozen foods) 3 are thawed through irradiating them with microwave from a magnetron 4; wherein cooling air is supplied via air holes 19 on the partition wall 11 into the thawing chamber 1 to cool the surface of the objects 3; thereby the surface of the objects 3 generally higher in temperature rise than the inside thereof can be cooled, preventing the objects 3 from quality deterioration due to excessive temperature rise.
