Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a therapeutic composition that has high bioavailability and can attain the gradual and prolonged release of medicament at a controlled release rate.
CONSTITUTION: This therapeutic preparation is prepared by loading medicament (griseofulvin) onto particles of nonionic polymer insoluble but swellable in water (crospovidone) and coating the loaded particles with an acrylic polymer by spraying whereby the medicament can be released at a controlled rate for a prolonged time. The release rate of griseofulvin can attain 96.0% even after 600 minutes (10 hours).
