Abstract:
To obtain a medicine for treatment of diseases, which specifically acts on a specific cell or tissues by using a protein hollow nanoparticle, wherein its therapeutic effect is confirmed by an animal experiment, and to provide a therapeutic method by using this medicine.
The medicine is obtained by containing a cell-transducing material (such as a thymidine kinase gene originating from a herpes simplex virus as a cancer therapeutic gene) for treatment of diseases in the hollow nanoparticle comprising a protein having particle forming ability (such as a hepatitis B virus surface antigen protein modified to lose its original infectivity to hepatocytes and further modified to express a growth factor, and the like).
