Abstract:
To provide a heat shielding film layer formation method capable of being applied to various base materials, and forming a heat shielding film layer with low heat conductivity and low heat capacity.SOLUTION: A heat shielding flim layer formation method for forming a heat shielding film layer of an engine component constituting an engine, comprises: a spray coating step of spraying, to a base material of the engine component, a coating material containing ceramic and resin; and a resin removal step of removing, with heating, resin contained in a resin-containing ceramic layer comprising the coating material sprayed to the base material of the engine component in the spray coating step, to form a heat shielding film layer having a porous ceramic layer with a plurality of holes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
