PURPOSE: To provide a high frequency heater which achieves improved handlability by enabling learning of the selection of outputs during cooking and the setting of heating time simply to allow setting of outputs and time by single operation.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is constituted of a heating source 3 to heat food 2 in a heating chamber 1, a dial setting device 6 having a dial 5 for setting outputs and time, an operating section 10 which has the dial setting device 6 thereon and is provided with a graduation display 8 of the outputs and time set by the dial 5 and an output varying device 9 to vary an output of the heating source 3 by turning the dial 5 clockwise or counterclockwise. The name of cooking material and heating time 15 and 16 per output according to the direction of turning the dial 5 are arranged and displayed on the operation panel 10 to allow the setting of an output corresponding to the direction of turning.
