Abstract:
To provide a thermal cutting method in which improvement of cutting quality and stability of cutting process are attained in high-speed cutting and cutting of thick sheet metals.
This is a thermal cutting method in which a cutting gas is introduced into a cutting nozzle and guided onto a workpiece by means of the cutting nozzle and in which the volumetric flow of the cutting gas is at least reduced periodically, wherein the volumetric flow of the cutting gas is varied in a periodically repeating fashion within a frequency between 700-8,000 Hz.
